Ever since I was a child, I had all these ideas in my head that I wanted to bring to life. I remember when my dad used to let me borrow his old VHS camera, I would spend hours with my neighbours making short movies or recreating music videos. As a teen, I was also spending a lot of time on Photoshop, doing all sorts of collages.
Fast forward to college, I explored fine arts, but it wasn’t quite what I had in mind. I had a different calling. Being someone very ambitious, I left everything behind and packed my bags to study film and TV in Los Angeles.
During my stay, I had the chance to receive a scholarship which I used to buy my first camera. I taught myself how to shoot by attending small events in the city and meeting other photographers. After building a small network, I was given the opportunity to intern for Dim Mak (Steve Aoki’s music label) and I was editing/creating content for their YouTube channel. This exposed me to the electronic music scene and I began photographing live music events. That is how I fell in love with photography and with the scene. I knew I was in the right place and it gave me so much motivation to keep following my passions.
Fun fact is that during that time, graphic design had always been in the back of my mind. I thought that if I could combine all three fields, it would make the perfect combination for a creative and fulfilling career. After my visa came to an end, I moved back to Montreal and returned to school one last time. Because, hey, it’s never too late to learn! So, here I am today, combining all of the things I love doing and making sure I am always doing something that fuels my creativity!
Hopefully we can work together, so I can make your vision a reality too! Hit me up !
